KIRKUS REVIEW

Menloe, in southwest Colorado, becomes a suspicious community when it is learned that the brother of Jute McCoy, a hotheaded loner, killer-outlaw, has been lynched. Sheriff McDermit, to protect the mob from being the executioner, protects firearms salesman Kelso in spite of his killings-with-provocation but becomes his pursuer when the evidence points to his being the vengeful brother. A variation with a really angry man.
