WHAT THEY SAY IN NEW ENGLAND AND OTHER AMERICAN FOLKLORE

By

Pub Date: Nov. 25th, 1963
Publisher: Columbia Univ. Press

This collection of New England folklore, portents and superstitions, ballads and jingles, tales- pintsized from the nursery to tall, etc., etc. first appeared in 1696 and is now reprinted. And with it a good deal of peripheral but associated folk material which has been gathered in various parts of the country- has been included in this new edition. A welcome reappearance for the material has much that is catchy and curious.
