KIRKUS REVIEW

Light -- entertaining -- original, a sort of Thunder on the Left in reverse, with a pattern all its own. Five young moderns, seeking escape from the ties of the older generation, take a house in the country for all their relatives for a month. And there, an oddly assorted group, -- dowdy Aunt Kate, widowed Emmie, the newly rich Petters, shy Mr. Brown, testy Bill Smith -- they project themselves into their past youth, and spend a time of enchantment, recounted with no little humor. Good conservative entertainment, and the type of book it is hard to find.
