KIRKUS REVIEW

Dr. Chappell takes up different types of men and women and their reactions to Jesus as He lived and died, types which have their counterpart in modern life as they mirror our own weaknesses and struggles. The book is good, since Dr. Chappell's sermons are always both clear and challenging. Although there have already been too many books along these lines, there is still a demand by clergyman at Lenten time for sermon material.
