On his father's ranch out west, Danny Hopper, who has just about outgrown his pony Ginger, is given a chance to go on a round up to Wild Horse Canyon. There he sees and loses his heart to Star. The adventures that follow, though orthodox, have their sure fire build up to a climax and a happy ending that sees Danny recover a lost Star and make new frinds around him.
