KIRKUS REVIEW

An adventure story in which a 17-year old boy from Minnesota does his share for science in the course of a trip made by Professor Quakenbush to Mexico to take some color photographs and test a new secret process. Boy scout training stands him in good stead in a fast paced succession of incidents, involving rattlesnakes, fiestas, mysterious strangers, burning cars and so on. The final adventure promises to be the start of yet greater adventure as the two Mexican travelers head south with Dr. Drake into the jungles of South America to seek out a new drug to alleviate pain. Good background material on Mexican customs and folkways.
