HANS, A DOG OF THE BORDER PATROL

The vocation of the hero and the breed of the dog change, but Colonel Meek's career-and-dog stories have a stolid sameness of plot and characterizations. Chet Hillyard is sent on a special assignment of the U.S. Border Patrol, an organization formed to prevent illegal smuggling of aliens across the border (operating in this case through the South). After an exciting chase, capture and escape with the help of his boxer, Hans, Chet aids in the arrest of an international smuggler and saboteur. The author has complied an appendix of information concerning the Border Patrol and careers in that service.
