RANGER: A Dog of the Forest Service

Pretty routine stuff, in a story of the U.S. Forest Service. Buzz, the hero, is ably assisted at every crisis by his retriever, Ranger. There are crises like floods, fires, blizzards, and the background provides full quota of information on the whys and hows of the Forest Service. A career book, with vocational values, and the author puts over the demands entailed by the service competently through an averagely good tale.
