Joe Wicklon was sure that he had the stuff to make a pitcher, and when the junior baseball team of the Bedloe Post of the American Legion was made up, he was pleased when Coach Gedlon hinted he might pitch in the opening game. But Joe's pitching career is a rocky road due to the needling of Pug Fraser who had a heavy grudge against Joe. Poise, self-confidence and a sporting attitude come through hard knocks.
