Three dead humanoids are retrieved from a black ""floating cathedral"" by some astronauts only to come readily to life to ""suck it""--one of the latter really enjoys being drained. Much exegesis later, via vampire authority Hans Fallada who tells us that we are all vampires (watch that next oyster), they realize that these disappearing spirits are invading other bodies, particularly in a hospital for the criminally insane. Surprisingly, considering the author and the subject, very low hemoglobin. Just dreckula.
