KIRKUS REVIEW

Perhaps better known as a poet (a Pulitzer and Bollingen Prize winner), Conrad Aiken is an interesting, somewhat involute, experimental novelist and this volume presents five of his earlier books: A Heart for the Gods of Mexico, published in America for the first time; Blue Voyage (1927); Great Circle (1933); King Coffin (1935); and Conversation (1940). None of them has been available in many years.
