KIRKUS REVIEW

This is the third in a neutral series featuring Holmes, a member of the Prime Minister's security staff, which involves the disappearance? defection? of a leading scientist, Ferria, and travels across France from a convent to a carnival to a confrontation with a quite mad Russian. Mr. Voss Bark is the B.B.C.'s Parliamentary Correspondent but he doesn't know the meaning of the word disinterested. It's quite simple--you can try to be disinterested but still remain uninterested in a book like this.
