KIRKUS REVIEW

Not quite up to their last tale, which was tops -- but better than average. Callie hires out to get some love letters for a friend, and finds herself involved in murder. The Barton manage comprises an attractive purseholder, with some assorted half-brothers and sisters. Two shootings set Callie's nerves on edge after many incidental featherduster fiascos as all see through her disguise. Fairly watery solution -- but otherwise pleasant nonsense.
