OUR ALASKAN WINTER

Continuation of a theme begun in three earlier books, this takes the couple to the Colville River area on the arctic coast of Alaska. Much of the time was spent in winter camp, on the plains hunting down Caribou, on Cross Island sea ice fishing for seals, tracking down polar bears, hunting driftwood, sledding for provisions, receiving visiting Eskimos. The book combines the excitement of big game hunting with the authentic report on arctic life. Interesting informative reading.
