KIRKUS REVIEW

Far more than the modest title would imply, a valuable and informative study of weeds, their use, detrimental habits and identification, Miss Bergdolt's illustrations make it easy to recognize and remember the numerous weeds as they make an indelible impression on the reader's mind. The harmful weeds are not so plentiful as we are apt to think, in fact, many if properly handled are beneficial to the soil or useful as crops, an encouraging discovery but only one of many useful features. Every gardener will save money by keeping a copy in his tool basket, libraries, schools and farm bureaus will recognize it as a must.
