PLANTATION DOLL

An ineffectual little mystery serves as a vehicle for light-hearted plantation mischief as cousin visits cousin for vacation. Lucinda Jefferson, about eight, lives at Rose Hill, and when cousin Molly comes to stay, the girls plan escapades and excursions together. There are watermelon parties, an obstreperous goat, younger brothers to evade and so forth. The climax comes when a very old doll once owned by Molly's mother and lost for many years- is found behind a wall and the girls win an antique show prize with her. Summertime trivia, this may have its fascination for the pigtail circuit.
