KIRKUS REVIEW

Set in Ireland and people by humanized animals, a dozen original tales attempt but fail to capture the spirit Irish folk lore. There are stories of bees who form a living against the when freed from the hive, of magical pine martens, of rabbits who learn and his who gets yet few will hold the reader. The moral in a successful folk tale is through an active, succinct plot. Here it is verbalized the animal which often take the place of live action. Some of the stories are too long to be read aloud others simply too diffuse to be enjoyed. How the rabbit inspired the animal kingdom to move rainy Ireland to sunny Spain and then back again when the story in the collection. Turn to Virginia for more savory Irish stew.
