KIRKUS REVIEW

A story of a 19-year-old Vermont ""charity boy"" at the end of the last century who with the help of staunch friends solves two great problems by coming to terms with an enemy and by learning how to wrest a living out of a mountain property, and so arrives at inward peace and security. A good, straightforward story with good values, with a feeling for the Vermont country and its people.
