FAMILY CIRCLE

For the stagestruck young 'uns, this warmhearted biography of the author's parents, their romance and their contented, if not always peaceful, marriage. How her mother made good her wish to be an actress under the great Modjeska, and how she gave up a career of great promise to wed Otis-my-dear; how he came up the hard way, touring companies, one night stands, and finally Broadway and a star of his day; how both could pick up and go and love their misadventures. Cornelia, too, who had to cope with two rugged individuals, and the trials, as well as the glamor, of having such well known parents. Fun to read such an intimate account of the theater, of such a thoroughly enjoyable family -- don't let your ""stars-to-be"" miss this.
