KIRKUS REVIEW

Three famous Chinese women, sisters, -- one is now the wife of Chiang Kai-Shek, one the widow of Sun Yat Sen, the third the wife of H H Kung. Their father, Charlie Soon, wanted American education for himself and his six children -- and got it. There is good material here, with three brilliant women following their separate ways to fame, and their ideals for China and their influence with their famous husbands. The telling is to much inclined to the effusive side, but in spite of the style, the characters and the lives come through and the picture of Chinese family life is vivid. A book in the news -- should have a plus sale for older girls.
