KIRKUS REVIEW

More dark adventures, which don't equal The Black Angel but which do purvey atmosphere, suspense and sensation in a stalk of crime and revenge. Bill Scott, running off to Havana with a boss gangster's wife, sees her stabbed in his arms and himself hung with the crime on inescapable circumstantial evidence. Eluding the police, lion's den manoeuvres expose the killer, while Bill accomplishes his own private vengeance. Slick toughic, not hard to anticipate, but easy to go along with.
