ADAM AND EVELYN

Tripe -- yes -- but the rental libraries will thrive on it, for Cosmo Hamilton still pulls an audience. The story of a concert singer, of the accompanist who inspires her, of the broadcasting company and the all-seeing eye of the radio audience, demanding purity from their idols. Threatened with failure if they separate -- and the loss of the home and garden she loves -- the woman proposes marriage. She loves him -- he doesn't love her -- the girl next door attempts the role of the serpent in their Garden of Eden. But all comes right in the end when the wife succeeds in making herself indispensable to his work, as he is to hers.
