KIRKUS REVIEW

Good escape reading for winter firesides -- this personal story of a young archeologist explorer and his four ventures into the wilds. Three in Africa, where he seeks data on the legendary queen of the Tuaregs, explores Tripolitania, enters remote parts of Ethiopia. He encounters drug runners, slave traders, negro sex orgies; he penetrates jungles, and crosses mountains and deserts. Not a scientific presentation, but good adventure. His four adventures took him into Yucatan, where he traced down a degenerate race of clayeators. Exciting reading.
