THE LOST ZOO

This is the type of imaginative nonsense poetry and foolery that should appeal to any child and to any adult who has not lost a sense of whimsy and drollery. Here, told to Cullen by Christopher Cat (who footnotes the book in his own inimitable way) is the story of the animals of the Lost Zoo, those animals who didn't get into Noah's Ark for one reason or another, laziness, pride or more forgiveable defects. The Wakeupworld, the Squilililigee, the Sleepamitemore, the Treasurekit (who had been poking out treasure for so many animals for so many years that the thought of it appalled him), the Lapalakes, the Ha-Ha-Ha etc.
