WONDERFUL NEIGHBOR

The author of Country Flavor returns to his native Missouri to picture the life of his wonderful neighbors, the Kennedy family -- a most extraordinary family really -- symbols of the hard-working, just, good fun and generous old-time farmers. Full of some really good sketches of farm life, social and work, in the old days before care and after. One could wish for more humor and less saccharine sentimentality along with the authentic ""country flavor"". His name still carries a certain amount of weight.
