KIRKUS REVIEW

A good as Sylvia and Phyllis, and better than Alice and Shirley, this lls of hardbitten insurance investigator Harvey Krim's search for the quarter of a million dollar necklace which disappeared, along with-Sarah Colter, its rightful owner. Krim turns up Sarah's unrecovered body in the form of Ludia, a servant girl whose slack-jawed stupidity has fooled the household in which she hopes t o secure the necklace, and after a breakneck chase in and around New York, Harvey's finder's ee includes Lydia.... Subtitled ""an entertainment."" its all of that and breathlessly more.
