THE NAZIS GO UNDERGROUND

If one goes along with Curt Rie on his assumptions, this seems to have a feel of inside knowledge. But his guesses have not always proved sound (The Invasion of Germany, he prophesied would be via the Balkans) -- though his text reads convincingly enough at the time. This presumes to give complete evidence of the underground organization set up by the Nazis against the day of defeat. ""They went underground on May 16, 1943"" he writes; heads of organisation include Hiler, Bormann (He' successor), Hierl the industrialists will go along with them -- while playing a double game abroad; the Generals will stay above ground, apparently to ""keep the peace"", actually to about face when the Party is ready to re-emerge. All preparations have been made, with subsurface buildings to house the party which will consist of from 200,000 to 300,000 men. He writes of contacts in the U.S. -- the various ""Peace Now"" organizations, the ""A.O."" or Germans living abroad the world over, still Nazi at heart. It is claimed that his material is ""collected from inside sources"" -- unnamed, understandably. His conclusion is that occupation is not enough, that we must impose a new order on Germany and be vigilantly watchful of a Nazi comeback. Curt Rie presents his material so dramatically that it should serve a valuable purpose -- to keep us from being lulled to sleep too readily. But it cannot be considered too specifically factual until more can be told.
