HOAXES

An historical compendium of misrepresentations, spoofs, forgeries, frauds, pitfalls for a credulous public. Some have had permanent influence, others are merely curiosities today. It covers many angles, -- financial, historical, literary, artistic, religious. It ranges from tall tales to presidential campaigns, from newspaper tricks to famous swindles. Amusing, entertaining. For all its diverting quality, this has a good deal of sound value on false propaganda today.
