KIRKUS REVIEW

These Anderson books are surefire with the horsey crowd, young and old. To an uninitiated observer there seems a certain amount of sameness. This new volume presents a good deal of specialized information about breeding and racing horses, with ten well-known thoroughbreds who, while not among the greatest, had a ""touch of greatness"", -- Display, Marriage, Dark Secret, Wise Counsellor and others. Elegant, traditional lithographs and many small drawings by the author make this handsome gift merchandise for horse lovers and connoisseurs.
