GOLDEN ACRES

The story of a young widow's problems, heartbreak and loneliness, following her husband's death, when she tries to win over his two children and keep his Oregon bulb farm producing. Megan wants no more of men after Nick's death, until she meets her stepson's favorite teacher, Birch Tallent, yearner for a return to the soil, and she accomplishes remarriage on a moonlight walk with Birch to the old pasture gate. More material here than is usual in this medium, in a treatment which is smooth and sympathetic.
