THE BLUE SAPPHIRE by D. E. Stevenson

THE BLUE SAPPHIRE

By

Publisher: Holt, Rinehart & Winston

The loyal readers of this D. E. Stevenson, her 38th novel, will again find a predictably pleasant romance and a heroine who has all the right attributes. When the story opens she is on the verge of matrimony to a proper Londoner who expects her to love, honor and chiefly to obey. But just then she can break away on the grounds of an insistent summons from an unknown uncle in Scotland. There she learns something about a different kind of love, so that when the ""knight of the blue sapphire"" proposes, she can dispose of the past. If at times one feels that this is too obvious, nevertheless it is another dependable, comfortable book by a popular author.
