KIRKUS REVIEW

D. E. Stevenson who's being re-issued as if she were Proust wrote this novel in 1938 and it takes place in her native Scottish terrain and deals with the romance between the baker's daughter ""Miss Bun"" and a charming if married English artist. For the audience which abides with her through thin and thick.
