KIRKUS REVIEW

Smooth, capable brew, but somewhat outside her previous province, is this story of a schoolmaster who proved that a cripple could help his country in other than military ways. Protecting his headmaster and his invention,, an incendiary beam, vital to British welfare. Adam journeys to Scotland, has successful brushes with Nazi agents, and eventually, with the help of stout Scotsmen, breaks up the ring operating to circumvent all inventions of value. Adam finds adventure and romance, and conquers his handicap. Appealing Scottish scenery as background.
