THE REACH OF FEAR

The murder of a youngster explodes a small suburban community- but the fallout is even more devastating; a young man with an old criminal record runs away in fear to his death; a wife deserts her husband to go back to her mother; a drinking husband commits assault; etc., etc., so that Lt. Morrison has more than the original crime to prosecute.... The disruption of ordinary lives by an extraordinary circumstance is real and recognizable and holding all the way.
