KIRKUS REVIEW

Young Dr. Turner, practising in a small town in Scotland, is accused of an involvement with the wife of his partner who had died (accidentally?) two months before. The ugly innuendoes of the powerful Provost opens up the case and he is under suspicion of murder as well along with others in his professional and personal life. Likably characterized, closely reasoned and intelligently sustained from start to finish.
