The text is made highly visual by the generous number of clear, labeled drawings of sewing equipment at work on correctly placed cloth. An excellent book for neophyte needlewomen, the book also has a great deal to offer the more expert. A last section deals with the demands of special fabrics, special seams, hand stitches and (most important) ""How to Get Out of Trouble."" Equally useful to students and teachers, there are very few books on sewing of this caliber and their publication is few and far between.
