This Australian product has enough adventure and mystery to absorb ship-and-sea dreamers, although the style and dialogue may be too leisurely and light-hearted for American children used to sword clinking and salty epithets in their sea yarns. The Australian twins, Peter and Paul, voyage with their cousin in an exact replica of Captain Cook's ship, the , along the Great Barrier Reef. On the wonderful voyage they see strange tropical wild life, are marooned a happy Crusoe in his island paradise, are shipwrecked, weather a terrible tropical store, and finally discover treasure. Fanciful adventure on a simple, sunny level.
