WESTWARD THE RIVER

Vigorous historical novel of the turbulent days of 1794 on the Western frontiers. Sarah, American born, English raised and a Tory, becomes a passenger on Noah's flatboat on the Ohio. In storms and dangers, they escape her companions, Deschanel, who dreams of heading an empire in the west, river pirato Ambroso, thieving innkeeper Twitty and young Captain Clark who is trying to outwit the traitors to the United States.
