ORBIT 10

Although this series, featuring more avant science fiction than most collections, appeared first in 1966, warp ten brings an anniversary celebration with an index of all that has appeared before. Orbit travels, these days, mainly through the space (and slime) of psycho-fantasy and among this group are: extra-dimensional consciousness of holocaust victims; a psychiatrist's sacrificial unburdening of his patients; a transfiguration through mob murder; personality cloning and its nightmare images; some surreal antics on the moon. A few are in a more traditional cast -- R. A. Lafferty and Kate Wilhelm are two serene eminences -- but for most, it's out of the brain pan and into the bonfire.
