Smith's promising debut with a humane glimpse of a future hospital offering computerized T.L.C.; plus Aldiss, Piserchia, Wolfe, Effinger and Eleanor Arnason. A couple of clinkers, but Knight remains one of the most consistently discerning editors in the field.
