KIRKUS REVIEW

Collected from science- fiction magazines, and with an introduction by Anthony Boucher, here are it stories, stemming from SF but using fantasy in their themes. Aliens prove to be not as altruistic as they seems; a couple surviving the extermination of man is thwarted from continuing the human race by a small accident: a creature out in space saves two humans: Satan, victorious, discovers he has lost earth since it has become hell: a monster of an unborn child becomes just a baby on delivery, etc., etc. Touches and twists give these a send-off.
