KIRKUS REVIEW

A long dream of vengeance against two men is fulfilled by Talkie Hines and Red Batten when the firstborn sons of their enemies are taken- and brought up to ride in their outlaw band. But with the rescue of a young girl from the Apaches, Torch and Shake-the boys- become suspicious of Batten and their hidden past. Talkie, who feels the game is pretty well played out, is ready to have the boys killed while Batten stalls- until they escape to safety and their real identity. Oldtimer with newfangled notions.
