KIRKUS REVIEW

This is fantasy as it should be-- which uses magic to metamorphize, in this case the Dump Yard in Shanty Town where Michael and Randy live. Even if the broken pickle jars glint like gems, it's a mucky eyesore, until Mr. and Mrs. Florabella make their balloon descent there and inaugurate their Flying-Go-Round project which will reclaim the dump and make it a green field once again. Mr. and Mrs. Florabella have no use for ""people without imagination or people without dreams."" Neither does Miss Faralla. Neither do we. So we won't tell you just what happens. In any case, there are nice spot touches: Mrs. Florabella using her feather boa to dust her husband's patent leather shoes; or the Russian bear called Pushkin because he needed to be pushed before he performed; etc., etc, It's a lovely spindrift of humor, fancy and surprise.
