DEAD OF SUMMER

By

Publisher: Abelard

A young English bride, newly come to America, whose husband is out of town, is driven by the heat to expose herself partially and thus becomes a target for murder. Her landlady, a fellow tenant, a student and his down-at-the-heels uncle across the street, and a psychotic handyman converge into her world as all move toward a crisis which ends in killing and the girl's escape. Compact rather than competent.
