A sunny little Sunday-in-the-park story about Grandma, a nostalgic, match-making squirrel. Children will enjoy reading about the scampering life of the squirrels in Central Park, particularly the doings of Grandma, who had been unwittingly imported from England and considered herself very English indeed. When, therefor, a nice young couple in the park -- an American boy and English girl -- seem to be quarrelling, Grandma remembers her own romance with Grandfather and decides to bring the two young people together, which she does with the help of some greedy pigeons. Good fun for the children who know the ways of squirrels and especially those in our parks.
