A fine little volume of devout and metaphysical verse. Despite its obvious derivation from Hopkins and Dylan Thomas, the author manages to forge a distinct style of his own. He has thought deeply on the meaning of Christ, and these verses are expressive of his spiritual thought. One can recommend this little book for its distinction and intensity, if not for any joyous richness; and one can await with substantial expectation what may next come from his pen.
