VEGETABLE GARDENING IN COLOR

This was inadequately reported some time ago, before I had seen the beautiful finished book. I can now say, emphatically, that here -- in permanent form -- is the beauty that seems all too fleeting in the seed catalogues. This is virtually a colored picture encyclopedia of vegetables, berries, fruits of vines; there are text sections on garden plans, on preparation and procedure, on insects and diseases, on winter storage and canning and so on. The alphabetical arrangement makes this a practical as well as a beautiful book. The lists of varieties makes it a useful reference book. Excellent value at an amazingly low price.
