This was reviewed in something of a vacuum of not knowing about this new series that this was specifically a Catholic oriented book for a specific audience. Here is an exciting and dagger story of an Irish priest in Vatican during World War II when he organized and directed an underground movement in Rome which thousand of Allied soldiers from imprisonment and death. Father grown up in Eillarney and won his espionage identification ""Golf"" because of his youthful proficiency at the game. Educated in Ireland, he was assigned to the advanced college for Missionary Priests in Rome, Propaganda Fide, and upon became its Vice Rector. During the twenty years that followed he became a painted with the city and its people- a fact that served him well in hiding and smuggling Allied out of Rome, then occupied by the Germans. His own close and near captures the story and build the figure of a hero who will be popular with teen age readers.
