KIRKUS REVIEW

Pinkwater fans whose minds have not yet crumbled away will rejoice at the Blue Moose's return in this epic horror-adventure-mystery-SF-amphigory. The town of Yellowtooth has been terrorized by an elusive vampire moose, Eric the Dead, said to have an unholy craving for ear wax. When a visiting traveller actually gets photos of the creature, the Blue Moose is called in to track it down. Then things get complicated; suffice it to say that the moosepire's identity is revealed after plenty of hard thinking, eating and library research, and soon the town is back to normal. Occasional pen-and-ink drawings provide relief from the zany text.
