I FIND THE MISSING

A bit on the tabloid side -- this story of the head of a bureau for missing people. His background, a childhood in the Yorkville slums, quitting school at an early age, bumming around the country, and finally the return to New York and the launching of his bureau, primarily designed to enable business concerns to reach people who have run out on their debts. After a period of slow going, the idea catches fire, and is now nationally known. There's a long list of missing persons, a round million a year, and Mr. Elsenberg gets a good many cases. He tells of the methods used, quotes case histories, and so on. Cheaply written but entertaining in its way.
